Dr Pineda provides a full range of obstetric and gynaecologic services with expertise in high risk pregnancies, perinatal ultrasound and gynaecological assessments.
She divides her time between her current role as Head of the Department of Obstetrics in Nepean Hospital and as a partner in Parramatta Ultrasound for Women. She also has visiting rights at Westmead Private Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.
At her practice you’ll receive personalised, holistic, patient-centred care in a warm, welcoming and stress-free environment. Onsite pathology and specialist ultrasound services are also available at her practice in Parramatta.
Dr Pineda strives to provide empathy, compassion and comfort, working to always deliver the best outcomes while utilising an evidence-based approach at all times. She is committed to working closely with you, ensuring your needs and feelings are always placed first. You will be listened to, consulted and included in each step of the decision-making process. She will take your hand and be your companion and guide on the journey to come up with a plan which works for you, staying with you each step of the way.
Obstetric services are focused on delivering care during each trimester of pregnancy through to childbirth and postnatal care. Dr Pineda will regularly monitor the health of yourself and your baby as your pregnancy progresses, provide advice and information on birthing options and assist with the development of parental skills including infant feeding support and required adjustments at home.
Dr Pineda is also trained to provide obstetric services for high-risk pregnancies. If you have experienced pregnancy loss in the past, have certain risk factors such as medical conditions which may impact on your pregnancy or are made worse by pregnancy, or have experienced complications in previous pregnancies, you will need specialised care.
Gynaecological treatment ranges from cervical screening (pap smear) tests and contraceptive advice to support with menstrual issues, perimenopause and menopause management and general advice and information. All treatment and management options remain confidential at all times.
Dr Pineda will provide you with evidence-based information, discuss relevant options and work with you so you are able to make informed decisions about your care.
